For Malaysian Students
English proficiency requirements for Malaysian students enrolled in UNITAR bachelor’s degree programs
Malaysian applicants for UNITAR Bachelor programs must meet the following prerequisites for English proficiency:
• SPM/SPMV level English Language distinction holders are exempt from taking additional English courses.
• SPM/SPMV level English Language credit holders are needed to complete extra English courses (refer to the table below for placement purposes).
• Before enrolling in their faculty courses, students who do not have a credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level must complete the English Enhancement Programme (an internal assessment could be arranged with the HOD Language and General Studies).
• If a student took any English courses at a different university, they must request an exemption (students are encouraged to attach the syllabus of the courses they have taken in the previous institution).
Programs For Foundation And Diploma
The English 1 (Diploma) and Listening and Speaking Skills courses are the first two English courses that Malaysian students enrolled in the UNITAR Foundation and Diploma programs must complete (Foundation).
Required Registration Documents
Undergraduate
• The registration form is pre-printed.
• Original SPM, STPM, A Level, Certificate, or Diploma results; academic records; and proof of other academic credentials.
• Your MyKad in original and photocopy form.
• A true copy of the original MUET result (if any)
• A RM520 minimum payment is required. Payments must be sent to “UNITAR CAPITAL SDN BHD” and may be made in cash, check, credit card, CIMB Clicks, money order, postal order, or bank draft.

Admissions & Applications
The admissions application period for UNITAR International University (UNITAR) is open all year round. Admissions begin each semester in January, June, and October.

Method of Payment for Registration Fee
All international students must pay the necessary registration cost and procedures before arriving in Malaysia.

It is crucial that students email copies of their bank-in slips or bank drafts to [email protected] together with information about their name, nationality, passport number, contact information, email address, and university program in order to speed the distribution of payment proof.
General Instructions
When entering Malaysia, international students are needed to present an approval letter from the immigration department and be in possession of a current student pass or visa. In order to receive the Approval Letter, Student Pass, and/or Student Visa, the International Students Office will help new international students.
For pupils to receive a letter of acceptance or offer from the university, ISO will make sure they meet the admissions requirements of the university. The requirements for payment to the university as well as Malaysia’s immigration policies must be properly understood by the students.
*On verification of certified true copies of the following documents, the offer letter will be issued:

Program for Postgraduate Studies
Once your admittance to UNITAR has been confirmed, you must apply for a “Student Visa” to cover the entire time that you will be a student there. For the purpose of processing your student visa, you must provide the following documents:
• 2 copies of the offer letter from UNITAR
• Four duplicates of your most recent passport-sized photos with a WHITE background
• Two duplicates of your passport (with more than 18 months validity)
• Certified copies of your academic credentials, together with a certified English translation (if applicable)
• A verified copy of your English language competence documentation (if applicable)

New Student Pass Request
Letter Approving A Visa (VAL)
The finished paperwork will be delivered by the International Office to EMGS for the VAL application. The processing period for VAL could take six or eight weeks. Once EMGS has accepted the VAL, the student will be informed by the international office.
Except for individuals who are from nations that are exempt from SEVs, students must get a Single Entry Visa (SEV) from the closest Malaysian Embassy. You must give the University the following details seven (7) working days before you leave your country after receiving your entry visa:
• Name and number of the flight
• The name of the airport, such as KLIA in Kuala Lumpur or KLIA2 in Sepang
When you arrive at the airport, representatives from the university will be waiting for you to help you complete your entry visa at the immigration checkpoint. Once you have completed your medical examination in Malaysia, kindly turn in your passport to the International Student Office to receive your student visa sticker as soon as possible.
