2023–2024 JAMB Subject Combination for Marketing
English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and Commerce are the JAMB subject combinations for Marketing.
This means that in order to study marketing in Nigeria, you must take JAMB’s UTME in the four (4) subject combinations listed above.
In the JAMB, there are four main subjects for marketing.
1. English Language
2. Mathematics
3. Economics
4. Accepted by the Government or Business
Direct Entry JAMB Marketing Subject Combination
Direct Entry marketing courses you should take include:
- English Language
2. Mathematics
3. Economics
4. Business or government Accepted
You can study marketing at UNILAG, NDA, UNIUYO, UNILORIN, ABU, LASU, UNICAL, OAU, UNIZIK, NDA, and UI, among other schools, with JAMB English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and Commerce.
NOTE: In order to study marketing in Nigeria, you must receive at least a CREDIT for your performance in both mathematics and marketing at the O-level.
ALSO: If you have a D7, F9, or E8 in Mathematics, Marketing, or in any of the JAMB compulsory necessary subjects for Marketing, you should not apply for admission.
All Nigerian universities accept the UTME and Direct Entry subject combinations listed above for students studying marketing.
Private, public, and state institutions all offer marketing programs.
In order to enroll in a marketing degree program, you must pass the JAMB-required topics, regardless of the school you choose to attend following your Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
It will be simpler for you to get accepted to study marketing if you have already completed all of the aforementioned subjects in secondary school before applying.
Nigerian Requirements For Marketing Studies
1. You must have at least CREDIT passes in your O’level results (WAEC, NABTEB, or NECO), including English and Mathematics in no more than two (2) sittings, in order to study marketing in Nigeria. Some schools, though, insisted on one sitting.

2. On or before October 31 of the admissions year, you must have reached the age of sixteen (16).
3. Reach the marketing cutoff at your institution.
4. Possess strong JAMB, WAEC, and post-UTME scores, if applicable.
Direct Entry Conditions For Marketing Studies In Nigeria
1. Five (5) or more credits at the Ordinary Level in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) in no more than two (2) sittings.
2. A degree in a comparable discipline with a First Class or Second Class Upper.
3. If you want to apply for Direct Entry, you must pay for the form through your school and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
4. A National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), or other Advanced Level Certificate with a minimum Merit Pass.
5. Additional qualifications that are comparable to (1) and (4) above and are accepted by the Senate of the university of your choosing. Candidates must additionally meet such Faculty/Departmental entry requirements in addition to the aforementioned minimal admission requirements.
