Neco Overview
The National Board of Education Measurement’s duties were transferred to Mandate as NECO (NBEM). Mid-2000 Administration saw its first evaluation.
When its founding Act’s section 9(1)-appointed President Abubakar M. Gana served as its leader.
Each of its six departments is led by a director. There are sections within each Department made up of units. The governing body is made up of a group of directors and a registrar, and it is presided over by chair Abubakar Mohammed.
Exam for the Senior Secondary Certificate (internal and external)
Nigeria offers a six-year basic education, three junior secondary years, three senior secondary years, and four postsecondary years. Although English and mathematics are necessary for all courses at higher education institutions, mathematics may not be.

National Common Admission Test
For admission to Federal Unity Colleges, students in their sixth year of basic education take the National Common Entrance Examination. Every year, there are two exams.
Due to the low and average passing percentage of candidates across all states in Nigeria, it was rumored on July 15, 2013, that the federal government of Nigeria had plans to eliminate the National Examination Council (NECO) from the Nigerian educational system. The then-education minister, Mr. Nyesom Wikea, made these assertions, which the administration promptly refuted.
