CORBAN GUNN
Corban Gunn has lived in Mississippi his entire life and graduated from the University of Mississippi with both his undergraduate and legal degrees. He worked as L.T. Senter, Jr.’s legal clerk while still a law student. Senter was the senior United States District Court judge for the Southern District of Mississippi at the time. In addition to winning the Young Lawyer of the Year award from the Mississippi Association for Justice and the New Lawyers Division Excellence Award from the American Association for Justice, he was named a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers magazine in 2013.
Mr. Gunn is a prominent member of the legal community and currently sits on the boards of both the Mississippi Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He is involved in the Biloxi community as well, giving his time and assistance to the Gulf Coast Carnival Association, George Ohr Museum of Art, Walter Anderson Museum of Art, and Biloxi Rotary Club. His church of affiliation is St. Paul United Methodist. Mr. Gunn is the delighted father of a girl and a son and is wed to Elizabeth Hoover Gunn, Pharm.D.
A serious automobile, truck, motorcycle accident, workplace accident, slip, and fall, or other act of negligence or misconduct, Corban Gunn is a fifth-generation Mississippi attorney who represents injured victims and the families of those who have been slain. From Biloxi to Hattiesburg to Jackson and beyond in southern Mississippi, Mr. Gunn is a representative for his constituents. He represents anyone hurt in marine and watercraft incidents, including personnel hurt on offshore drilling rigs and platforms, as part of his business around the Gulf coast.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
An annual $1,000 scholarship is being offered by Corban Gunn, Attorney at Law, a personal injury attorney in Biloxi, to recent high school graduates in the Biloxi/Gulfport region who will be enrolling in their first year of college or university in the next fall semester.

ELIGIBILITY
You must fulfill specific requirements to be eligible for this scholarship. You have to
• Have graduated or will graduate in 2023 from a high school in Gulfport or Biloxi.
• Reside in Harrison County, Jackson County, Pascagoula, Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, or another location in Mississippi
• Have plans to enroll in a university or college for the fall of 2023. (your planned college can be located anywhere)
To be eligible for our scholarship, you must submit an essay of at least 500 words on the subject given below:

He isn’t necessarily seeking an English or law student’s “A”-grade essay, but rather one that explores the subject in a distinctive way.
