  1. HOW MUCH MONEY WILL I GET FROM THE JIM AND BETTY DYE SCHOLARSHIP?

For up to eight (8) consecutive undergraduate fall and spring semesters, scholarships are worth $2,000 per semester toward tuition ($16,000 total). Universities may change the Scholarship’s value in accordance with other grants, scholarships, and awards received. Scholarships will be applied secondarily after receiving university and other tuition-related awards, grants, or scholarships, which are deemed primary and will be used to pay for tuition first.

3. DOES THE FOUNDATION GIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT THE MONEY?

No, the scholarship is sent to the bursar directly, and any returns go to the foundation.

4. MY SCHOLARSHIP IS NOT LISTED ON MY TUITION BILL. WHEN IS IT DUE TO BE PAID?

Prior to the beginning of each semester, the university will post the Scholarship to your Bursar account. Instead of the Scholarship name, your Bursar account may show this as a fee credit or remission. Please take note that until the Foundation receives your transcript from your last undergraduate semester to confirm your continued eligibility, your Scholarship will not post to your Bursar account.

5. DO I NEED TO GIVE A COPY OF MY UNIVERSITY TUITION BILL TO THE FOUNDATION?

No, after the add/drop time has ended, the university will bill the Foundation directly.

No – Other prizes are deemed primary and will be applied toward tuition first, with the Scholarship applied secondary, unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. DO I HAVE TO APPLY FOR MY SCHOLARSHIP AGAIN EACH SEMESTER?

Response: No. The Scholarship will automatically renew once your official transcript has been received and reviewed to confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements of a cumulative 3.0 GPA and an average of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester successfully completed as an admitted degree-seeking undergraduate student.

8. I DIDN’T MAKE FULL USE OF MY SCHOLARSHIP, CAN I USE THE REMAINING MONEY FOR MY EDUCATION?
