ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN
Ten statutory boards are currently under the ministry’s control: SkillsFuture Singapore, Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board, Institute of Technical Education, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, and Science Centre, Singapore.
To lead and oversee the implementation of SkillsFuture, a new statutory board known as SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) was established under the Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2016. It absorbed the Committee for Private Education and assumed part of the duties currently carried out by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) (CPE).
UNIONS
The Ministry of Education employs civil servants who are organized into a number of unions, including the Amalgamated Union of Public Employees for non-education officers and the Singapore Teachers’ Union, Singapore Chinese Teachers’ Union, Singapore Malay Teachers’ Union, and Singapore Tamil Teachers’ Union. The National Trades Union Congress is an associate of each of these unions.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Ministry of Education scholarship award to available to students who have earned exceptional academic results and excelled in co-curricular and other activities.
Apply also; The Trinity Christian Scholarship Program
It lasts for two years. As long as the student meets the renewal requirements, the award provides a $750 yearly allowance as well as tuition based on Singapore Citizen’s rates less any subsidies, up to an annual ceiling of $2,400.
ELIGIBILITY
Citizens of Singapore, or non-citizens with at least one parent who is a citizen of Singapore, who:
• Have maintained a high level of academic achievement and received an overall GCE O-Level examination score of 8 points or less (without bonus points deduction) for English and Higher Mother Tongue, or Mother Tongue and 5 relevant subjects as in the Pre-University admission criteria, or equivalent based on the school’s internal assessment.
• Have a solid history of extracurricular activities.
• Have a solid conduct history.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
Scholarship awardees are only permitted to receive the Edusave Scholarships for Independent Schools from the MOE (ESIS).
Applying for IP students
Midway through October 20223 applications for the cycle of 2024 will open.
FOR EVERY OTHER PUPIL
The 2023 application cycle will open in the middle of January 2023.
INTERVIEW SELECTION
Your school will recommend you for the scholarship selection interview, which starts in early March if you are enrolled in the Integrated Programme.
Based on your GCE O-Level test results, you will be invited for the scholarship selection interview if you are not enrolled in the Integrated Programme. In early April, interviews begin.
THE DECLARATION OF OUTCOMES
Candidates that are chosen will be contacted in August.
