The Science Ambassador’s Scholarship Program

About The Scholarship

The Science Ambassador Scholarship is open to interested students who want to further their education beyond high school.

How To Apply

Make a three-minute educational film in which you discuss a STEM subject that interests you. You must be a senior in high school or a college freshman to apply. to see videos we’ve previously enjoyed. Your video ought to be: • A brief speech, not a declaration of identity. Assume you are a professor addressing a group of students. Give us some advice.

• Crisp, original, precise, and shows your enthusiasm for the subject. We appreciate fresh, memorable approaches to subjects. Your video doesn’t have to be elaborate or sophisticated. The cost of production is unimportant.

• A time limit of three minutes or less. Videos that are longer won’t be taken into consideration. All rules apply.

• Any STEM subject, not just the one you are studying. Choose a subject that interests and thrills you. We don’t need to know about the most recent scientific developments (unless that’s your thing).

• Accurate in terms of science. You should reference the sources you used to learn more about your subject. This should ideally appear in a slide or frame at the conclusion of your video. You are free to use any citation style.

• Uploaded to YouTube using the “public” tag. All rules apply!

Note: Setting an example for others is a crucial component of science communication. Please make sure that your video is shot in accordance with any applicable COVID-19 safety laws in your area.

Applications will be evaluated and finalists will be chosen by an advisory group made up of women with advanced degrees who work in a variety of STEM professions. Early in 2023, the finalists will be informed, and they will then go to the following phase to submit more information. The results will be revealed in April 2023.
