THE DRIVEN COFFEE SCHOLARSHIP

A small group of craftsmen from the Midwest joined together in Minneapolis, Minnesota to form Driven Coffee in order to pursue their shared passion for speciality coffee. To serve our consumers around the nation, we put our efforts into ethically sourcing, hand-roasting, and painstakingly brewing the greatest coffees.

We use a small batch Probat Roaster to manually regulate every step of the roasting process, allowing us to further create our distinctive blends and single origins. To guarantee that our consumers receive a consistent product that accentuates the subtle nuances of each and every bean, we maintain stringent quality control and cup our coffees endlessly. We stand out as a tiny artisan roaster committed to providing fresh, complex coffees in a world full of enormous commercial coffee giants.

At Driven, we think that a great cup of coffee may inspire an even bigger goal. To put this tenet into practice, we donate 5% of the proceeds from every web sale to groups that support societal and global positive change.

Driven to Change the World

At Driven Coffee, we are committed to helping both the local and global communities. For this reason, we provide 5% of every web sale to our partner charities.

SCHOLARSHIP SPONSORS

MATT VASSAU

CREATOR | CEO

Matt held the position of VP of Business Development for an Espresso Services Company prior to starting Driven Coffee, where he developed connections with some of the biggest coffee producers in the nation. He made the decision in 2013 to combine his love of business, coffee, and doing good deeds to start Driven Coffee. When he’s not looking for the ideal cup of coffee, you can probably find him playing golf or hanging out with his loved ones.

 DAN OKSNEVAD

CO-FOUNDER | DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Dan first became interested in specialty coffee in 2009 while working for a newly established fair trade coffee organization. This quest took him to the coffee-growing regions of Central America, where he traced the route from hand-picked cherries to American coffeehouses. In 2014, Dan teamed up with Matt and contributed his business expertise and marketing acumen to the development of Driven Coffee. Dan, his wonderful wife, his two crazy boys, and their equally crazy Vizsla puppy reside in Chanhassen.

We are motivated to improve the world by providing solid, long-term partnerships and fair pricing to coffee farmers.
